WELCOME TO GOLDEN CLASS

In Golden class we have great fun learning through play and exploration!

On a daily basis the children busily explore the various areas in both the indoor and outdoor environments, providing opportunities to discover and learn. We provide many exciting opportunities and carefully monitor the progress of each individual child.

Reception only - Additionally, we have an outdoor learning session every Monday.  We take this opportunity to explore the local environment or use our school grounds. Please send your child to school in old clothes every Monday and provide a pair of wellies in a carrier bag, thank you.

Reading at home

Your child will bring their ‘Read Write Inc’ folder home every evening; it is regularly updated to reflect the new sounds/key words/spellings we are learning at school. Please encourage your child to spend a few minutes revisiting these sounds and words as often as possible. Please also read with your child at least 3 times a week and sign their reading record.

PE

Reception only - PE will take place every Monday and Thursday afternoons, please provide a named PE kit to keep on your child’s peg.

Year 1 will join year 2 for their PE sessions on Monday and Tuesday. Please provide a named PE kit to keep on your child's peg.
